These Terms & Conditions (Terms) govern your access to and use of Peak State Astrolabe (the Service), operated by Peak State Global (we, us, our). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About the Service

Peak State Astrolabe is a visual instrument for Future History Mapping. You pose a focal question about the future; the Service uses an AI model to generate a “multiverse” of possible future states (stars), grouped into worldview constellations, connected by leverage decision nodes and tracked indicators, and organised into registers of preferred, disowned, and undesirable futures. You can branch these scenarios, inject your own perspectives at decision points, tag outcomes, and update the map as you add evidence.

The Service is a tool for structured thinking and deliberation. Everything it produces is a speculative, provisional model created to help you explore possibilities — not a statement of fact about what will happen.

2. Not a prediction, and not professional advice

The Service does not predict the future. It does not forecast, guarantee, or estimate the likelihood of any outcome. The stars, constellations, leverage points, and indicators it generates are speculative constructs— plausible, internally coherent scenarios accepted “as if true” only for the purpose of the exercise. They are not evidence that any described future is probable, imminent, or real.

The Service does not constitute financial, legal, medical, tax, investment, or other professional advice, and must not be relied on as a substitute for consultation with a qualified professional. We do not hold any professional licence or authorisation, and nothing generated by the Service takes account of your specific objectives, circumstances, or needs.

Before making any decision that could have real-world consequences, talk to qualified humans. Discuss the outputs with appropriately qualified advisers, colleagues, and affected people. The map is an input to human judgement, never a replacement for it.

Validate every perspective and every piece of evidence presented in the Service before acting on it. Scenarios, framings, and worldviews shown to you are generated content and may be incomplete, one-sided, or wrong. Check them against primary sources and independent expertise of your own.

3. Accuracy of information and AI output

Much of what the Service shows is generated by an artificial-intelligence model. AI-generated output can be incorrect, incomplete, biased, or fabricated, even when it is presented confidently and in specific detail. Any evidence, sources, figures, or reasoning chains you supply or that the Service produces may be inaccurate, out of date, or misattributed. You are responsible for independently verifying anything before you rely on it.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you warrant that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms. Where you share a workspace or map with others, you are responsible for the access you grant and for the conduct of those you invite.

5. Your content and connected inputs

You retain ownership of the focal questions, sphere-of-influence details, injected perspectives, evidence, and other material you submit (Your Content). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. You warrant that you have the right to submit Your Content and that doing so does not breach any law or third-party right.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or deceptive purpose;
  • present its outputs to others as verified fact, professional advice, or a prediction of the future;
  • attempt to breach, probe, or circumvent the Service’s security or access controls;
  • reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
  • submit content that infringes the rights of, or misrepresents, any person.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, design, and branding remain our property or that of our licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service; they do not transfer any of our intellectual property to you.

8. Third-party services and links

The Service relies on third-party providers (for authentication, hosting, database, AI processing, background jobs, and error monitoring) and may contain links to third-party sites. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or conduct.

9. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded (Non-excludable Rights). To the extent our liability for breach of a Non-excludable Right can be limited, our liability is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the relevant services or paying the cost of having them re-supplied.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

Subject to clause 9, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that its outputs will be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.

11. Limitation of liability

Subject to clause 9, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunity;
  • we are not liable for any loss arising from a decision or action you take in reliance on the Service or its outputs — including any reliance on it as a prediction or as advice;
  • our total aggregate liability to you for all claims connected with the Service is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose (if any).

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against loss we suffer arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or Your Content — except to the extent the loss was caused by our own breach, negligence, or wrongful act.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably need to protect the Service or other users. Clauses that by their nature should survive termination — including clauses 2, 3, 5, 7, and 9 to 14 — continue to apply.

14. Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms from time to time; the “last updated” date above shows when. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws in force in Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
